I have always loved everything about the Olympics. I was very excited to be going to Wimbledon to see some of the Olympic tennis. We had tickets for Court 1 on Tuesday.
We arrived in plenty of time so we could explore Wimbledon and enjoy the atmosphere before the tennis began. The first thing you notice is Centre Court.
There was a big screen showing the matches on each court, this is what we were scheduled to see.
I really like watching Tsonga, and we were getting a British player, so I was quite happy.
After about an hour of play we had a rain delay of about two and a half hours.
During the rain we watched Murray on the big screen on Henman Hill.
It was very exciting to see covers coming off and know we would see more tennis.
We didn’t expect the Tsonga match to go to 25-23 in the final set. It was an epic set!
Tsonga finally won after nearly four hours.
Our second match featured British tennis player Heather Watson, unfortunately she lost.
We had to leave after Heather’s first set as the last train we could get home wasn’t late enough to allow us to stay until the end of play.
To finish off an excellent day my sister sent me this picture, she spotted us on the TV coverage. I am in pale blue in the centre, you can just make me out!
I am glad we got to see some of the Olympics, it is brilliant to be part of the wonderful atmosphere.

Looks like an amazing experience – and how cool that you got on tv!!
